<p>This recipe makes a thin sauce. If you want a thick sauce, use 4 tablespoons butter and 4 tablespoons flour.</p>
<p>1 tablespoon butter, melted<br />
1 tablespoon flour<br />
1/2 teaspoon salt<br />
Dash cayenne pepper<br />
1 cup milk</p>
<p>Blend flour, salt, and pepper with the melted butter. </p>
<p>Gradually add milk. </p>
<p>When mixture is smooth, stir over medium heat until it thickens. </p>
<p>Cook 5 minutes over low heat.</p>
<p>Makes 1 cup.</p>
