Hard Boiled Egg Recipe

This is one of the easiest ways to make hard boiled eggs, and there are usually no broken egg shells! I made perfect hard boiled eggs just yesterday…

  1. Bring the eggs to room temperature. I think this is one of the keys to keeping the egg shells from cracking.
  2. Put the eggs in a clean pan that is large enough to hold them without crowding.
  3. Completely cover the eggs with cold water, adding enough water to come one inch over the top of the eggs.
  4. Heat until the water boils, and immediately move the pan to a cold burner.
  5. Cover, and let stand for 25 minutes.
  6. Carefully take the eggs out of the pan, and rinse them in cold water.
  7. Refrigerate.

I realize boiling eggs is a pretty simple procedure, but I have many friends who struggle with keeping the egg shells from breaking or having the eggs hard to peel.
