Easy Peach Cobbler Recipe

4 cups sliced peaches (about 6 peaches)
1 cup sugar, divided
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 cup milk
Vanilla ice cream

Combine peaches and 1/2 cup sugar. Let stand 15 minutes or until a syrup forms.

Melt butter at 350 degrees in an 11″ x 7″ baking dish.

Stir together remaining 1/2 cup sugar, flour, baking powder, and milk. Pour mixture over melted butter. Do not stir. Spoon peaches over mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes.

Serve warm cobbler with vanilla ice cream.

6 to 8 servings.
