Conversion Table for Ingredients

Recipes from Grandma

I always have a hard time remembering how many cups in a pint, how many quarts in a gallon, how many tablespoons in an ounce, and on and on. I probably am not the only cook with this problem, so I am adding my handy conversion table…

3 teaspoons = 1 tablespoon = 1/2 ounce
2 tablespoons = 1/8 cup = 1 ounce
4 tablespoons = 1/4 cup = 2 ounces
8 tablespoons = 1/2 cup = 4 ounces
12 tablespoons = 3/4 cup = 6 ounces
16 tablespoons = 1 cup = 8 ounces
1 cup = 1/2 pint = 8 ounces
2 cups = 1 pint = 16 ounces
4 cups = 2 pints (1 quart) = 32 ounces
2 quarts = 1/2 gallon = 64 ounces
1 gallon = 4 quarts = 128 ounces

Would you mind very much if I borrowed your conversion table for my blog? And I’ll try and add another column for metric measurements, which we use in Europe.
