Hasty Hot Dish Recipe

1-1/2 pound lean ground beef
2 tablespoon instant minced onion
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1 10-1/2 ounce can tomato soup
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup dairy sour cream
1 4-ounce can mushrooms, undrained
Combine raw ground beef and onion. Flatten into a 2-1/2 quart casserole.
Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients. Mix well with fork.
Prepare Potato Drop Biscuits, and drop by rounded teaspoonfuls around edge of casserole.
Bake at 425 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
Potato Drop Biscuits:
1 cup flour
1 cup mashed potato flakes
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup cooking oil
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
Combine dry ingredients in large mixing bowl.
Combine oil, milk, and egg. Add to dry ingredients all at once, stirring until dough clings together.
Drop onto casserole as described earlier.
